Hispanic Households Pay 20% More for Energy Than the Median
It’s Time to Speak Out Together!
Why the NHEC was Formed
The National Hispanic Energy Council exists to unify the strength of America’s diverse Hispanic populations into a single voice that highlights our perspectives on something all Americans need: affordable and accessible energy. Hispanic households bear a heavier cost burden than the average American family, and the past year’s high energy prices and rampant inflation have underscored the need to ensure that Hispanic families, entrepreneurs, workers and small businesses nationwide see some relief. The Council is building a bipartisan coalition of leaders of Hispanic groups across the country, and will help educate elected officials, policy makers and the Hispanic public on what good energy policy choices look like.
